  1. Thordis Brandt was uncredited as a victim in the opening of this film. She was victim #3. At the end, the captured killer confesses to 3 other murders all the while showing the detectives pics of his bound victims. Can anyone tell me the identities of the other 3 actresses who posed for those pics?

    1. I appreciate your head start! I'm sure someone will be able to lend us a hand identifying all of the uncredited players.

      Glad you found the blog!

  3. It's my understanding that Jack Webb had planned to revive "Dragnet" in 1966 as two or three TV-movies a year.

But when NBC saw what was originally titled "Dragnet 1966", the network asked Webb to instead revive it as a weekly series beginning in January, 1967.

For some reason, this two-hour pilot movie didn't air until 1969. One would think it would have either been broadcast prior to the premiere of the revived series, or split-up into four parts and aired as the first four episodes of the revival.

  4. Is this 'pilot' sometimes referred to as a MOVIE entitled "Dragnet"? I liked the blk & wht Dragnet movie from about 1954, also.

    1. I think so. There have been several Dragnet films through the years, though.

    2. It IS a movie..made for TV ...not several TV episodes cobbled together. The 1954 Dragnet movie was in color.

  5. I don't think that I have ever seen late 1950's episodes (sn 9, 8, 7, 6)in reruns. Is there an issue with them?

  6. The victims were wearing the same outfits in their 'missing' photos as the ones Negler had in his toolbox
