Suzy, no commentary this week? That's the best part of these episode examinations. The pics are great but we (and I'm pretty sure I speak for all of the Dragnet observers) like your witty, and always astute observations. Concerning this show, instead of Joe and Bill going out, it's like they brought all of the familiar characters inside! I noticed that the female officer is the same actress from a few episodes back that wanted to quit the academy. But I checked and she is not portraying that character. For some reason I just assumed it would be the same character. I hope you are feeling OK. There is a lot of colds and flu going around. Kenny P
ReplyDeleteHi KennyP,
DeleteThank you. I wrote two commentaries, and blogger "ate" both of them. Sunday came, and I decided just to leave it alone. You guys can probably guess everything I'm going to say, anyway. Haha.
Susan Seaforth's return reminds me of other instances in which the actor did play the same character- Perhaps most notably, Officer Dave and Policewoman Dorothy Miller.
See you soon,
Suzy Dragnet
Suzy - Hope your blogmaster doesn't yank your chain this week. Nazi nut job Don Dubbins returns as a dog trainer on the side of the law! Pre medical marijuana days, groundbreaking duty for grass sniffing dogs. Film at 11. Kenny
ReplyDeleteI just "discovered" your site (it was always there, except I did know about it. Ain't that right Chris Columbus!)
ReplyDeleteAnyway I provided a link from the Dragnet FB page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/Badge714/) to yours. Hopefully you'll see more posting. I have already taken the liberty of "borrowing" some photos to re-enforce some querries.
Haha! Wow, thank you.
DeleteYes, I think anyone should be allowed to use the images. They aren't exactly mine. ;)
I have been at this project for 1.5 years and it's been wonderful. I have learned so much and I'm terribly grateful for all the assistance and support from Dragnet fans.
Cheers,
Suzy Dragnet
A guy pulls a gun on himself, gives it to Joe, and continues a dialogue without fifteen burly cops ringing themselves around him? Wh---at?
ReplyDelete47 years in So. Cal and I have never heard of a tidal wave being a threat.
ReplyDeleteIt's 2022, we're watching these episodes on Amazon Prime, and have just discovered this blog. It's good to know we're not the only ones watching this show!! Thanks Suzy and everyone else for the awesome commentary.
ReplyDeleteWhere 's Suzy? Dragnet is just amazing!
